Separator Chaplets

Separator chaplets are manufactured from mild steel, generally coated with tin, and used in water jacket cores in the casting of engine blocks.

Because of the variety of manufacturing processes, separator chaplets can have the following characteristics:

• Distance between the plates can be manufactured with round or flatten wire (stems), or one piece of mild steel that is solid or has cutouts (bodies).
• Plates can be solid or have perforations, curved to a specific radius, and have protrusions, tab(s), wing(s) or ear(s) extending off the plates. Creating a separator for your specification is based on the application required.
